VMFC Awards Night 2012/13

29 July 2013

Village Manchester FC celebrated a European Cup winning season on Friday at Taurus at the club's annual End of Season Awards night.

Former players and managers joined the current squad, friends and partners to look back on a successful twelve months, with the usual humorous approach this year presented by Antony Lockley.

Five players picked up awards. Rob McPherson was voted 2nd Team Manager's Player of the Season for the second time, while Johnathan Findlay overwhelmingly won the Players' Player award.

For the first team, goalkeeper Jeremy Baker took the manager's award in his first full season. And, after winning the 2nd team players vote last year, Ant Parkin celebrated his debut season with the VMFC 1st team by winning the Players' Player of the Season.

There was also an Outstanding Contribution award for Pete Ransom, who leaves Manchester for London in August after four years with Village.

The evening was a tremendous success with everyone enjoying themselves, despite a near-universal hangover the next morning! We'd like to thank Iain, Polly and the team at Taurus for for helping to create a wonderful atmosphere.

If you weren't able to make it, check out some of the music videos below that were premiered on the night.
