VMFC's comedy night

14 November 2015

We held our second comedy night of the year, this time in the plush surroundings of New York New York's exclusive function room.

There were over 100 people there, including members of the Village Spartans Rugby Club and Manchester FrontRunners, along with a smattering of our footie lads. The atmosphere was great and the comedy went down a storm.

A big thank you to New York New York who couldn't have done more for us, to our host Colin Manford, and to our other comedians Alex Boardman, Liam Pickford, Colin Havey and Howard Walker.

We'd also like to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.

And the big new is that we raised £1,500 to support LGBT adoptive parents and their children through local charity After Adoption.

I would very much like to thank the members of Village Manchester Football Club for your recent donation of £1,500 to After Adoption following your very successful comedy night at New York New York.

The children we find adoptive parents for have had very difficult starts in life and have been in the care system the longest. We specialise in finding them loving families and in providing both the children and parents with a wide range of support services to help them to thrive.

Last year around a quarter of the parents we matched with children waiting for adoption identified as LGBT.

As a charity, your support is very much appreciated and will enable us to help more families here in Manchester.

Huge thanks to New York New York for their support

And thanks to our raffle prize donors
